The duel between Forsman and Dreezen in KZ2 continued in heat 2. After four false starts and a break for discussion, the race was finally started, in order of finishing the previous race. Under the helmets they had time to start to feel the pressure. Rick Dreezen (Tony Kart / Vortex) attacked Philip Forsman (Birel / TM) but Sauro Cesetti (Birel/BMB) took the lead from the first few meters. Roberto Toninelli (Lenzokart / TM) was 4th, Riccardo Negro (DR/Parilla) 5th ahead of Mishel Georgiev (CRG/TM), Gianni Gazzurelli (FA Kart / Vortex) and Nicola Vallifuoco (Intrepid / TM). Piccini and Hanley remained in the gravel traps after a crash.
Dreezen took the lead again on lap 2, Forsman dropped to 5th. Ardigo was 12th. The lead pack was stirred up behind Dreezen, Cesetti lost places in the confusion. 2nd was Toninelli with Negro and Georgiev. Forsman disappeared. Meanwhile, Jorrit Pex recovered strongly and was 6th in front of Ardigo. Dreezen escaped from his pursuers who were still in the same order, Negro deftly closing the door on Geirgiev on the last lap.
The win went definitively to Dreezen, 1.6s in front of Toninelli, Negro, Georgiev, Cesetti, Pex and Ardigo.
